1968-s lincoln DDO?
Sorry for the crappy pictures. Found this roll searching I know there's a 69-s DDO. Could this be a 68-s DDO? Thoughts and comments welcome. 0

100% not hub doubling
keep up the search!
.
<< <i>Thank you all for replying. Just thought with the doubling under the chin, nose and the date it would be somthing special oh well the hunt goes on. >>
it is always good to stop and check. for minor hub doubling and minor machine doubling, they can at times be exceedingly alike
the more major the type of doubling, the easier for attribution/authentication
.
sure is fun looking for those type of things and very good practice
.
<< <i>That is the thrill of the hunt. When you do find a good one, or the big one, it would have been well worth the wait. >>
Yeah I like the hunting. This past spring i found the 1984 dbl ear. and a year or so ago i bought 3 rolls of halves and got 4 walkers and 14 frankies.
<< <i>No, it's machine doubling. Lincolns of that year (and '69) were especially plentiful with this minor error. >>
Some guys you always listen to
Gonzer is one of them
There is a decent 68-S proof DDO, the well known one in the CPG.
There's also several minor bus strike DDOs for 68-S.
Like this one, it's Coneca die-1 and listed as 1DO-002 on Coppercoins:
