eBay listing removed - after I've already paid!

I can't believe this . . . I got a "Security Notice: eBay Listing Removed" three days after an auction ended, and I have already paid via PayPal. Not sure why this would happen AFTER the fact, but now I'm in limbo land . . . I can't submit a claim thru the Resolution Center until it's PAST the delivery date . . . anybody else have this kind of thing happen?
The auction obviously isn't listing anymore in either my Purchase History, nor in the "ended" list of my Watch List
aarrggghh !

had that happen quite a while back, i am much more careful about whom i make purchases from
Lots of us report fake coins even after auctions have ended.
Talk to ebay/paypal. They'll take care of you.

I understand it is frustrating, but it is much better than to have your money stolen by someone committing fraud, or sending you a counterfeit coin, or several other ways your transaction could have gone bad.

I tried that number, but eBay says the number is no longer being supported. They direct you to go online for support.
thanks just the same, it was worth the try . . .

I think you will probably get your item as long as it was already shipped. I'd email the seller and confirm if it was shipped or not. Wait a while, then if nothing shows you can just start a claim through Paypal.

when you have questions, use the following link to get a PIN for the phone call

You got as much help as you would've, if the number was working. Ebay C/S sucks. Always has, always will.

i've spoken with ebay c/s prob about 20 times about all kinds of inquires and 95%+ of the time their assistance was excellent
I tried using a different phone once(and then the PIN) and the call was connected and then dropped.
You'll probably have to become familiar with broken INgleesh however.
So if the seller is legit, he will probably want to complete the auction anyway. If not, then you'll want to get your money back through paypal, not ebay. I would not bother even calling ebay. They vaporized the auction, to them it's history and you have no commitment to complete it. Of course, neither does the seller so if you got a good deal, he is now free to return your money.
Last option, if the seller is a scammer and makes off with your money, you are protected by paypal buyer protection and they'll cover you.

No Way Out: Stimulus and Money Printing Are the Only Path Left
<< <i>Contact the seller, see if he shipped. If he did just let the transaction go. Hes got his money you get your coin. I was the seller in this exact same situation(with a pulled D CARR Peace Dollar) and everything turned out OK. >>
Contact the seller? Not sure about that. What was auctioned? Why did eBay pull the listings? Account takeover? Counterfeit items?

no, it's not an 1879-CC Morgan . . .

<< <i>well, the seller is no longer a registered user. he has not replied to my e-mail. Paypal is telling me to wait 7 days to be sure I don't receive the item anyway, and then I can file for a refund.

If the seller has been NARU'ed by eBay, there was probably something very wrong with the auction. Be happy you will be getting your money refunded!

Inquiring minds want to know what you bid on....
<< <i> Paypal is telling me to wait 7 days to be sure I don't receive the item anyway, and then I can file for a refund. >>
What's to prevent a buyer from getting the coin and then also filing for a refund? The seller has been NARUed after all. I'm not suggesting that anyone do this---it's stictly a hypothetical question.

The seller in NARUd on ebay but probably not paypal so if the coin shows up, the seller will have proof of delivery for paypal. Otherwise, paypal will take/keep the seller's money to pay the refund. --Jerry
After submitting my request for refund, and "elevating" the incident (per the normal process), I got my full refund today. First time i've had to do this, and I'm quite please at how simple it was to get my refund.

eBay owns PayPal, and they need to work better together in situations like this. No escalation should have been necessary.
