V Nickel

I actually got out for about an hour and a half yesterday at a local football field with the CZ70. I was on a bank overlooking the field and was finding several nickels. I thought the rim didn't look right on one and looked at it closer and in was a 1903 V Nickel which I haven't found for some time. Ended up with $7.26.

Overall that is a good day... and a V nickel is a unique find.... not common anymore... must be an old football field. Cheers, RickO

an old coin, and a good haul of pocket change... now that's a good day
  • thats weird, i dug a V nickel yesterday also. mine was a 1906. mine came from a bike trail built over an old dump that exists in a modern neighborhood. everyone looks at me funny when i go there.
i don't think i've dug more than $7 in the last few months
