I responded to a Craigs List ad a few months ago......guy said he had 1950s cards for sale. When he wrote back he gave a cell # from out of state....RED FLAG......then when I called him he gave a story about his uncle who was an anesthesiologist who died......left behind lots of valuable stuff, Piccaso paintings, Ferarris, jewlery......this guy said he got the baseball cards......had scans all PSA graded of 8 cards........including 2 1952 Mantles PSA 4 and 5, a Gretzky Rookie PSA 10, 53 Bowman Mantle PSA 9.....a host of others......I told the guy the truth about the value and said they were worth tens of thousands of dollars........he was willing to sell to me but when I suggested he ship the cards at my expense to a third party authenticator (One of the major auction houses an old friend owns) he all of a sudden said HOLD ON LET ME CALL YOU BACK.......last I heard from him!!!!! Just for fun I e mailed him a few days later, he said OH I SOLD THOSE ALREADY FOR 50 THOUSAND......thus endeth another scam.........

If it's real... send it to an auction house. If you were able to find this forum then I'm sure that you can find a distiguishable auction house on the internet. Try Heritage Auctions... HA.com
If it's fake... sell it on Craigslist and please dont ever come back. There are hundreds of reputable members on this forum that will quickly be able to tell that it's a fake. Their assessment will spread like wildfire. Nowadays only fools (which for the most part dont exist on this forum) will buy a 52 Mantle from a new member who just seemed to stumble on to a forum. Yet alone trying to sell the most expensive post-war card to exist. No red flags there...
