I am Turning 40 - The wife asked me to pick out my dream card for a present

and I have chosen! I want a 1951 bowman Mays in a psa 7! I have always loved this card, and want a nice sharp 7. I don't mind a bit OC, but love sharp corners. I don't mind a slight wax stain on the back, btw....

Now, the tricky part. Does anyone have one for sale? LMK! If I can't find one, I would chose a 53 topps mays in a psa 7!

    Brian,

That's all she is getting you? Too bad, most of our wives spend MUCH MORE than $4,000.00 on our presents! LOL

Good luck finding one you love! (A card that is)

  • I'll be 40 in August, let me know how it feels.
  • Brian, i recommend you also add to your present a trip to The National next year. (you could work the "i need to find it there" angle)

i turned 40 this year, and treated myself to going to the show this past summer and was able to find many many needed cards

I turned 40 in 1988 however I can not remember that far back.I do know it was sports related.I think it may have been the Mantle/Maris plaque with an 8x10 picture of them which is autographed on two separate index cards below the picture. At that time COA were not that prevelant so my guess looking at other autographs of the two they are legit.

Brian ... a $4,000.00 gift and in the title of the thread you use "The" wife? Do you need a $10,000.00 gift before you change it to "MY" wife? lol
