The department of redundancy department...

Just so you don't have to weed through multiple threads, I figured I'd incorporate most of them into one post:
1. If I list a card on eBay, will it sell or should I ask all bidders of their intentions?
2. I'm rich!!! I just bought this deal from Craigslist for 9 T206 Honus Wagners and they're real! I pick them up tomorrow. Pictures to follow.
3. I'm buying a monster collection. Who can I sell it to?
4. My auction ended 7 minutes ago and I haven't been paid, yet. What can I do as I really need the $4.18?
5. Why do sellers charge $1.00 to ship when a stamp is only $0.44?
6. Can you tell me what grade my card is? Sorry, but I don't have a scanner, but it looks nice.
7. Which eBay seller sells raw cards cheap and undergrades them?
8. What are the low population commons that are worth the most from the 1970's?
9. I'm new and I'm going to send in on the Monthly Special. I'll gladly accept cards from everyone that wants to get in on the great deal.
10. How many times do I need to post about purchases and sales to make everything think I'm a hobby heavyweight?

13. I got savaged by a cartel of professional star dingers. Why isn't everyone up in arms about this?

infinitely. won't matter. the REAL hobby heavyweights are too busy counting their millions and sailing their yachts around the globe to worry about posting in this forum.

And the answer is.......What are threads that Sean, Neil or Bobby would start?
19. If I shake my PSA 10 holdered vintage card like a snow globe because the card inside appears to be trimmed, will they still reimburse me for the original value of the graded card example or the value of the card in its soon to be reholdered PSA 5 condition? or should I crack it out, but take pictures beforehand and store them in my Photobucket? for that matter, how exactly do I post a Photobucket picture to web site? should I get rid of the other pictures in my account which somehow got there by accident, but my wife wouldn't appreciate them being seen in this forum? can my wife join here? are any of you guys married? where can I get a great deal on an engagement ring?
crud, i think i went off track.

I'm assuming this is a shot at me, which is fine. Nice to see Burgundy reading (and referencing) your threads as well.
It's all good. I don't consider myself even close to a hobby heavyweight--I post cards that mean something to me and that I'm excited about. How people choose to interpret that is up to them and is of no concern to me.
I love this card!! Can everyone ooh and ahh over my latest pickup?!?!?! (While it is listed for sell on Ebay or thru the BST boards one week later!)

Don't worry Nam.....I am sure you will find a way to spit your cynicism and shallowness in the thread somehow.

<< <i>Dan....I dont think that was a shot at you. There is a fine line between sharing your collection and bragging about your collection, IMO you have never crossed that line. I enjoy your posts and look forward to seeing your next addition. >>
Personally, I'm willing to put up with any bragging just to get to see some fantastic cards.

<< <i>Interesting that some seem offended. Ironically, the person(s) that most of these thoughts were inspired by haven't bothered to respond. Others, however, have taken to assume that I was pointing a finger at them. If Thunderdan wants to think I'm taking shots at him, so be it. But simply put, I wasn't. If I were, I would say so. Now, if Sean started complaining, I'd own up to that...
Fair enough, Scott. Sometimes I assume wrong. I've debated in my mind about sharing larger purchases because I don't want to come across as beating my chest, scoring points, or anointing myself a "heavyweight." I don't care about any of that stuff--there are just certain cards I really get excited about.
<< <i>Geez what's this infatuation with Sean? >>
Like a bad accident . . . you don't want to look, but you can't help yourself.
So, Steve, what's your fascination over my disdain for Sean? Are you now the Guardian Angel of the Misfit Toys (while Sitting on the Sideline).

I, for one, think this place would be a lot less fun if people stopped posting things they are excited about just because someone else doesn't approve.

Excited, yes. That's fine. I love it when people share their collections. I don't care if it is a '52 Mantle, a 19th Century obscurity or a 1987 Topps Alvaro Espinoza. If they have a passion about it, fantastic!!! That's what the forum is supposed to be about. Not all of the other crap that it digresses to (this thread being a part of that digression).
However, wading through some of the inane posts that are nothing more than the same things over and over and over and over and over and over and over is annoying. That was the simple point of my original post. I added some fluff to get to 10 (and took a shot at a certain poster that comments on virtually EVERYTHING), but how many times do we need to hear the same eBay questions and gripes? To borrow a courtroom term, "Asked and answered!"
go to my corner.
<< <i>Now that this thread has turned into a debacle, I'll

Debacle? That's your opinion . . . and you're entitled to it. But I think the point I was making has been made. Sadly, those that it applies to won't bother to understand it or will be too ignorant to realize that it applies to them.
The board should be for hobby related, sports card matters. The rest of the filler is tiresome. It is the same thing asked by the same people, just expecting different results.
I guess this is what happens when I keep quiet for too long.
Anyway, if you think it is a debacle, so be it. And don't forget to jump in again next time I mention Sean. That seems to be the only time you comment to me anymore...
