Or have they always had the food/survival tab? I don't ever remember seeing that there, but like my wife says, I don't always pay full attention to things.

    If I recall correctly that tab was added few months ago.
    Living in a highly populated area, I have no need for those kits...I won't survive that long in my apt anyway! MM

    I hadn't really looked there in a little bit since I haven't bought online in a while, so no surprise I missed it. Just a tad surprised to see that there, although I suppose it makes sense.

    Had the same thought. Anyone tried eating whats in the bucket? I guess if you get hungry enough................

    For almost all of human history people have hoarded as much food as possible as it was necessary for survival. It's only been the last 50 to 100 years that we've switched to a 'just in time' food model. If something serious actually happened in the country and food supply chains were disrupted, there would be serious problems in the major cities. Why not store a month's worth of food just in case?
