Coin show report
Yesterday I drove 25+ miles to a 50 dealer two day coin show that is held twice a year. I arrived about an hour and a half after the show opened. The first thing I noticed was that fully 20% of the dealer tables were vacant. This usually seems to be a fairly good show.Since I only look for PCGS coins ,I made the rounds quickly except for one dealer who had a number of double row boxes of PCGS and NGC slabs. I spend about a half hour going through his boxes and found nothing for which I needed to ask the price. The show was very dead.I only saw 2 purchases. One guy bought a coin for $24 and I saw a YN,who was there with his father, spend $165 on a couple of Silver Dollars. Most of the dealers were just standing around talking among themselves. One dealer's wife gave out a homemade Christmas cookie to anyone who came by their table.I would grade it a 35.I did not expect to find anything to buy and so I was not disappointed. At least I got my numismatic fix for the day.

Practice makes perfect & nobody is perfect. So, practice being nobody and be perfect !
<< <i>Seems to reflect all the coin shows lately... albeit the smaller shows always appear slower. Market down. Cheers, RickO >>
Is the market down or has there been a dramatic shift away from shows?
Hoard the keys.
