Thanks PPC! As of last weekend it was still detectable, just getting colder (low 30s), but today... there's a good couple of inches of snow on the ground and it's officially research season. Already got some good prospects for the spring. A biking buddy told me of an "old" mill about a half hour from here. But how old? That's the question.

Keep up your finds everyone while you can!!

It must be an almost unexplainable feeling to uncover a seated coin. I can not imagine how it would feel. I remeber the feeling I had when I found a $5.00 gold coin and several gold rings. Great finds for the year 2011. Continued good luck starting in 2012. Ken the MDH

I haven't given up on 2011 yet. Short hunt yesterday. Mid 50s today. If the rain ever stops I might get in a quicky today.
