Seems like quite a few thefts recently. Where do these usually turn up? Pawn shops?

Caught this on the news last night. Why would someone have all this in their home at one time?

Many people have this much stored in their home... however, this individual obviously did not take proper security measures. Cheers, RickO

Thats more than tens of thousands of dollars like the article states. The 7,000 ASEs alone are about $200,000 just in bullion value!

I just noticed a new thread has been started on the same Sedona theft that I posted in this older thread about theft. I was wondering if I should of started a new thread? I decided not to since they seem to fizzle away pretty quickly. At the same time I didn't know if posting a different theft on an existing thread was considered "hijacking someone else's thread", but decided to take a chance.
I've been reading threads here for years but just recently decided to do a little posting and I guess I'm still learning thread posting etiquette.

    from the link:

Although the house was not obviously ransacked, the victim did notice a storage room door had been pried open and gold and silver pieces valued in the thousands were gone.

Sounds like someone knew right where to go. They either showed their stash to one too many people, or they need to check out their relative's boyfriends and friends etc.

Wow, $210,000 in the ASE's alone.
I collect history in the form of coins.
