A Silver Panda Question

I have started to collect silver pandas going backwards.I read somewhere that the real pandas have angled reeding and fakes have straight reeding.Is this true??I just bought a 1996 panda with straight reeding.So is this a fake??Also is there any reading material about pandas other than the book on e bay in chinese?

The reeding was straight until sometime in the 2000's....I forget which year exactly. The reeding is diagonal from that point forward.



Edited to add: The reeding went diagonal in 2001 and continues to be diagonal through today.
