Liked the man as a Cowboys coach, because I am a fan, but the man is not a head coach. Ruined the Redskins and now the Chargers, how does he keep getting chances and what is taking the Chargers so long to see the light. Just saying.

    I've always wondered about his name, Norv. Did his parents name him Norv?

    I knew the Chargers were going to underachieve as soon as they hired Norv. Once they fire him, any competent head coach will bring the bolts back to the playoffs.

    Rex Ryan was right when he made that comment a couple weeks ago -- he said he was kidding, but Freud knows better.

    He better start getting Norvous about his job. They fired Schottenheimer after a 14-2 season and have let this guy keep coaching all these years?

    he was also head coach for the Raiders

    and was a very "offensive" coach for other teams as well

    There's a Peter Principle for coaches -- just because someone is a good assistant coach or coordinator doesn't mean they are a good head coach. Norv is an example of this, as was Buddy Ryan and as is Wade Phillips.
