Gold Coin Bezel Question

I have a question about a recently found bezel attached to a 1/10th ounce Gold Panda Coin. I could not find any information about the markings. The bezel clasp is marked with 14KGCT. What does it mean as to the gold content? Is it plated, filled, or what? Does is small bezel add to the value as bullion? If you can help I would appreciate it.

    Could GCT be the manufacturer?

  • Just back from a jeweler in Nebraska City, Nebraska, where they have the usual sign "WE BUY GOLD". All I could muster, after they closely inspected the bezel, was it definitely was
14 Karat gold. They did not know about the "GCT" mark after the 14K.

  • My WAG is that the GCT means "gold content"

So the marking is saying 14 karat gold content.
Many buy and sell transactions. Let's talk!

A gold tester would answer the question.... would even identify 'plated' material... Anyone collecting PM's should have one... Cheers, RickO
