    Willie Mays was more than friendly toward my 11 year old son at the MAB show this year. He spent quite a while engaging with him, teasing him about his Tiger's jersey. He was very kind.

    By the way, he now has not one, but two armed body guards watching out for him.

    I know he has a reputation as being ornery, but as far as the racist thing goes, I think you have to take into context the vile insults and taunts he undoubtedly endured through the years. Don't forget that he came up only a few years after Robinson broke the color barrier, and I'm sure he saw firsthand what a lot of white fans thought about him. Some guys don't forget that kind of abuse, even years later.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    Got the card done via mail @ the MAB New York Show last weekend.

    I would be ecstatic with how that auto looks considering others I've seen.

    Also, I guess now you can take it personally that it was you Willie didn't like, not the card image

    Tell me about it... I suck - go figure the only HOF rookie card I've ever gone for to personally see graphed gets rejected!
