I love the T206's. I pick them up now and then when the price is right. What do you need?

Yes they are nice cards. I do like the T3's better but they are out of my price range.

Over my years of collecting, I was able to pick up a Rube Marquard T206 cheap because someone wrote on it...........yeah Rube did, it was autographed. That was a sweet pickup. I also picked up a common card that has a double stamped reverse. It is Tolstoi and Piedmont. And lastly, another common with the red ink missing. I will try to post scans for you when i get a chance.

    Happy Collecting,
    Bob

I've bought a few just to have some cards from the "monster". If I see some with the right price or get bored while surfing ebay I still buy them.

I just collect the White Sox players.

I'm trying to put together a Master T206 Team set of all possible front/back combinations. As of now, I have 77 different cards out of the approximately 307 possible needed to complete the set.

I thought about doing that with the Cardinals team. Unfortunately I quickly realized that it would NEVER happen. I can't afford a common Drum back, let alone any of the 4 HOFers in the set. image

    hmmmmm?

the Cardinal HOFer in T206 are easy and cheap, they can be had for $30-$50 all the time ...ie Bresnahan (2), Willis (2) ...........and a common Drum back is 25X+ that

the toughest card and only one that will go well into 3 figures (if not 4 fig) is a non HOFers........... the Polar Bear exclusive, OHara StLNL

***edited to say I see now you were talking master set. well thats also an impossibility
a Poll takes a few years ago polled collectors who had a combined 437,553 T206 cards. And only 8 total BroadLeaf460s and 29 Drum cards were in that bunch.
(that works out to be 1 "BroadLeaf460" out of every 54,694 T206 cards)
But there have been a few more Drum cards discovered since then and a few BL460s too

I started picking up Pirates this year. I now have 20 of at least 113 possible cards. I am guessing there are at least two cards that will elude me.
Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason.
Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.

I found the scan of the Marquard in my computer. The scan is before it was encapsulated as authentic. I will look for the other scans later.....the Piedmont / Tolstoi reverse and the missing red ink.

Excuse me sir, but could you kindly point out to me exactly where I can buy a common Drum back for $750-$1,250? image

I had to pony up $2,500 for this one a little over a year ago:
