Just got a gut wrenching email from ebay

Received a selling limitation message from ebay:
Our decision is based on evidence from our records. We're not comfortable with your selling practices or business model, and we feel they don't help to promote a positive buying and selling environment.
I am LIVID! I just called them and they said that I was below standard in Germany and they linked me to an account that was suspended back in 2007. WTF? what can I do?

Just in- a slap in the face i guess. Just got an email from ebay having the subject-
Important: Improve selling to avoid limitations
Your seller performance is below standard under the German seller performance standards programme.
<< <i>one that i remember and it was because of a trademark violation in 2007 >>
You don't know for certain how many times you've had an EBay account suspended? Really?

<< <i>It really does suck to sell on ebay, they don't care about your selling record(mines perfect) or your paypal account record(also perfect as I've sold more privately then ebay), they still hold up your money tilll they feel like it and then the fee's suck as well as your hit twice, the selling fee and the paypal fee.
Go through the paypal automated system before 9 pm and get someone in their new call center out here in Arizona - who are typically VERY VERY helpful
<< <i>but its the only place to really buy and sell everything, its a monopoly >>
Yup, the next person who has enough money that comes along will win, not because they are great necessarily, but because ebay sucks so much.
So exactly what was the trademark violation that you committed? Sure sounds like there is more to this than you are disclosing.
Not the USA?

<< <i>one of my buyers who purchased 40+ cards dinged my DSR's. >>
Did you charge him $34+ to ship those 40+ cards?
<< <i>110*.8+$7= $95 for 120 cards that answers that question >>
Do you deny that this is unreasonable, or do you just not give a rip?

<< <i>im located in the u.s. and my costs are there in each listing. If someone wants 120 cards they would have to pay that if not then why bid. >>
Those are not your costs, they are your charges. It is a mistake to think you can get away with such asinine prices these days whether you disclose them or not. Just as you are free to charge what you wish, eBay is free to limit you as they wish.
I am just curious.
I'd probably charge them what ever shipping+ signature confirmation is.... So $20 is understandable... $90 isn't in any case - regardless of your 'policy'

Too funny that you're wondering why you're having problems.

Agreed, those are charges not costs. No wonder Ebay took action.
Super Bowl XXVIII: Buffalo Bills vs Dallas Cowboys -
Running back Emmitt Smith rushed for 132 yards and 2
touchdowns earning Super Bowl MVP honors as the Cowboys
defeated the Bills 30-13 to win their second consecutive NFL
title.
LOL it sounds like you dug your own hole, especially if this person was charged anything more than $8 or so to ship that. Sorry but if you intend to profit off S&H and someone dings you for it you got what you deserve.
<< <i>FEEBAY AND PIGPAL...PERFECT TOGETHER. chaz >>
Clever. PSA 1.
<< <i>Whether or not a seller would charge $90 to ship 120 cards is a moot point- because no buyer, anywhere, ever, would actually agree to complete the sale after finding out they were really being charged that much. >>
Walt, the buyer might be okay with it if the cards were worth $1 or so each because more than likely they won each card at a penny each.
This gut wrenching story is more than likely due to the baseball card equivalent of the Ipod that sells for 99 cents and costs $200 to ship. It's been discussed already with this seller less than a week ago, yet for whatever reason, he can't comprehend why ebay or anyone else would view this as shady behavior.
Karma Baby....Karma !!!!!!!!!

One flat out question can I get my account suspension lifted or not?

NO
The person who left the feedback would have to update it. But, it's been too long for you to be more honest about your shipping "POLICY" and give a shipping refund.
Oh one more thing Mr. eBay, why dont you hire some people who can speak english and not route my call half way around the world!

Pretty crazy, but I believe the OP charged that much JUST FOR SHIPPING!!! IIRC, he sells most raw cards for .99 and then adds on additional shipping for each additional raw card shipped.

If it suckes to sell on ebay, then don't sell on ebay. Obviously the positives outweight the negatives, or you wouldn't be doing it.
