off topic coin to help us noreasters

Well everyone in the new england area is well aware of the abundance of weather crap
we have been dealt since wow probably starting with the heavy rain and wind storm in july,
to be followed by Irene which came in not only on high tide but also a full moon, now we have wind snow
ice and just all around mayhem. I just litterally got thru settling all storm related damages, cleanups
and insurence dealings. Well today its been snowing now since 11am now 9:23pm- my entire fence
surrounding the backyard is trashed as huge oak branches just randomly crushed it, my favorite maple
tree which has graced the front yard since I brought seeds back fro arlington after my grandfathers death
in 1971 is laying not trashed but litterally half in my yard and half on the womans house next door
(right on her power and tv lines) and they are saying that wind will pickup big time and snow will
continue to 2-3 am? wtf- we in the north east are tired to say the least.

so us people in CT, and NY n Mass and prob the whole north east corridor need help.

send lawyers, guns and money, the " xxxx" has hit the fan

claim 1 house robbed jan 17th claim 2 water damage from flooding rain storms july
claim 3 Irene geesh claim 4 wtf do I tell em now?

plenty of pictures and actual solid proof-geesh when will it end.
I seriously would like to know who did what wrong up this way, so we can settle
this vendetta image

this coin always made me happy:

6 inches of slop here in CT, winds sustained 25-30, gusts 40-45.
Waiting for the power to go out, most trees still have their leaves.

Holy Cow Man! You have had a tough year. Move down here to Florida, the weather's nice! Around 78 Degrees or so...I am going Kayaking in the morning. It is supposed to be really nice. Good luck with yet another insurance claim. Yikes. I feel for ya! I know parts of Florida got hit by multiple hurricanes in 2005...that was crazy but you have that craziness beat even. Good luck to ya! Stay warm and stay safe!

    Man that's terrible.

Here's hoping 2012 is better, eh?

Also, that nickel you posted is defective and missing an S. I'm afraid it's just another way you got hosed this year :/ At least I can make this one right. Send it to me, and I will send you a really shiny one that has the S you got got gyped out of on that one!

Near route 128 and the Pike, in Mass, we are in a small corridor that gets it good, and we have 4" or more right now, and it'll be 'blizzard conditions' in the morning. All I had to dowas check shear pins on the snowblower, fill the gas cans, run the 'blower..........all set for a one day inconvenience.....it'l be gone bu Monday afternoon, Tuesday at the latest. But, it'll give me a chance to get the leaves cleaned up earlier this year than normal...they should all be off the trees by tomorrow......so much for 'leaf peeping'...there'll be no color changes this year, they'll all be buried under the 10-12" of snow we're getting (can't wait to see how much our place in NH gets).
    I'll come up with something.
  • That sucks buddy, here is mine. Hope is puts a little smile on your face.

Best of luck to you guys in the NE!
I have family out there and some have been stuck in traffic/on the roads due to the weather and having to go into work (hospital, so they feel the need to go when they are scheduled or called in).

It's been a harsh year for you, Bill, and I hope that it gets out of the way and next year is a complete 180!

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Little windy this evening out here on the island in Bokeelia, and 2"+ of rain yesterday, but 65 outside right now and near 80 is forecast for tomorrow. Looking forward to some shelling in the morning. I'm familiar with noreasters having lived in Jersey in a past llife, but they say this is an "anomaly" for snow this early in the year and not an indicator of what's to come, but you just got to wonder what the deal is up there this year.

My girlfriend slept on the ground last night , in a tent. She said it was freezing. I told her: "Move and keep moving "

yes its sunny this morning, and luckily we never lost power. Its kind of wierd as looking outside with the ice and snow still on the trees, it looks as if someone walked by and just bent them all over.

well I was thinking thursday that Id have nothing to do today, seems like I was wrong there.

oh and the "its missing an "s"" comment really cracked me up image

    It's global warming...

Here ya' go... something nice and frosty for ya'. BTW there's not a cloud in the sky here in the SF Bay Area, and it'll be high 70's this afternoon. Of course, I'm looking at the San Andreas fault out my window as I type this.
