When I finally got through to the Mint, the rep taking my order was interrupted at the end of my transaction, saying she was just handed a note, and read it to me out loud. The gist of it was that orders had reached mintage limts, and I was thusly being put on a waiting list. After 4 hours of near-constant calling, I finally got through, onlyu to learn the effort may turn out a complete waste of time...

This thread got me curious to wonder that in the case of a pre-sale, with an ebay auction listing NOTING it's a pre-sale, and which also included language to the effect that unfilled orders from the Mint would result in prompt refunds, or orders that oculd not be filled within 30 days of auction end would also be refunded.

If a seller is noting this completely and visibly within the contect of his/her auction, would you still consider it dishonorable, where the auction is cancelled under these circumstances? I mean, with the buyer being advised up front, is not the onus now the responsibility of the buyer?

    Just sayin'...

Of course. On "The Day," I sold my box of 5 (order 38330xxx) via the BST for $2000 within hours of landing it, and will ship it to the buyer once his check clears. That's no different than any other deal I have ever made. Morality, greed, or ethics is not the issue. A deal is a deal, once cash is exchanged, and no market (stocks, bullion, etc.) could exist with unilateral reneging.
Good deals with: goldman86 mkman123 Wingsrule wondercoin segoja Tccuga OKCC LindeDad and others.

Of all my deals with members on the boards with these sets, I have had everyone confirm except one who sold his to someone else. I have complete faith in those who I made deals with--most i already know, and have relationships with--the one who bolted was a newbie, and actually posted his on the BST before telling me he bolted. Unfortunate, but it happens. My word is my handshake.

I don't expect many (hopefully any) people here to bail on deals...I do do expect a bunch of eBayers to bail if the prices go high before we actually get them from the Mint.
