Lincol Cent Error -Help please

I received this coin in change a while back and have not been able to figure out what happened to it. If it's a mint error or PMD? Weight is 2.5 and it appears in hand to be struck over something in the middle. Let me know if you have any questions. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

PMD - notice the incused lettering -

The result of another coin being
pressed into your coin. Also that's
why the obv. side is 'flattened'.....

It looks like a poor PMD sandwich job with a dime...

If you decide to spend it (?) it would make for a neat example for member Astrorat to use at the summer seminars for YN's.

  • Thanks for the replies - I thought it was PMD but I guess hoping for something else. Your knowledge is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Broadstruck - I would be happy to donate this coin. If Astrorat would like it just let me know where to send it.
