Yesterday I had the opportunity to view several auction lots at a big "Estate Sale" type of auction coming up on Saturday. One lot was listed as "Several rolls of uncirculated silver dollars". Not expecting much more than sliders, I got a pleasant surprise. The look of the rolls made it appear that these had been put away long ago. Of course the notation lightly penciled on the wrapper "Mom's unc 1963" helped. The first roll that I looked at were indeed MS, in fact I'd say most were MS64 - 65+ blazing white. I didn't have a VAM book with me, but I did notice that nearly every coin had the same die cracks, date and MM position. The last roll I looked at was marked 1881-S. As most of you know, rolls of 81-S's can be blinding white, I was not disappointed. I'm sitting there looking at what appears to be a bunch of MS-65PL & DMPL coins. Here's the best part. Three of the 81-S's had what can only be called "Battle Creek" toning, were talking coins that just blew me away.
We'll see what happens Saturday......

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

I just hope the auction house doesn't try to "shine" them up to make them look better to bring bigger $$$.
Bring a mule choker roll of 100's with you and don't back down!
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
