The all series 73 packs are definitely scarcer than any other 73 packs, as they were produced late in the year in advance of the 74 all series format.
I'd say the value of an all-series pack is approximately $150 in NM-MT condition, with an obvious premium on the box as a whole.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Edit to add: Holding off on the other boxes sounds like a good idea...plus I will have a few bucks to purchase whatever Steve might decide to sell next..

I cant see paying a premium for an all series pack/box unless I'm keeping them unopened. Well, I'm in for one. LOL, let the interest begin.
Edited to as: I concur, waiting until this weekend, at least, to start/vote for a rip would be a good idea. I dont see me having much to spend once the 15th roles around with Thanksgiving and X-Mas coming up. Unless we do some kind of Secret Santa.....in that case I choose BBCE or MacrosB.

Could we have a pack limit for the first 24 hours( same as normal CU group rips)? I know I will be working tomorrow and don't want to miss out on some mini packs after having missed out on the 75 racks.
I would love to be part of a 1973 Topps group rip!

If I hadn't bought the 79 cello box, I'd have bought one.

<< <i>Tim, you'll be happy to know that I plan on keeping them sealed, not only in the shrink wrap they come in, but also in the BBCX tape sealed box that Steve sends. >>
This is the best certification you can get in today's market for long term investment.
I picked up the 3 '78 wax boxes Steve had remaining.

I give those boxes about two weeks before at least one is cracked open in search of a Gem Mint 10 Ryan!

Paul, you just barely beat me to one of those boxes, I was emailing back forth with Steve on the box, when he replied that the three remaining boxes just got purchased.

I got my 79 cello box this week and opened the shrinkwrap to find packs with Jackson, Morgan and Bench showing on back...I will keep the box intact, as cards from cellos are usually dinged anyway and the cellos display very well.

I've noticed that the 78 cellos do seem less prone to corner dings than the 79s which were more tightly wrapped, it seems. The difference could be due to the card count, which was 21 in 1978 before being reduced to 18 in 1979.

Yowzers, I think we need crowd control in the forum. We have rips going on left and right. I'm only saying that because I want to take part in all of them.

<< <i>I did notice a few more 70's items show up in both baseball and football in the last few days that weren't there when this was posted. >>
I see there is a regular size '75 baseball box posted now.

<< <i>I never noticed this before, but the 1975 box says "1977 special features" on the side . . .
I'd love to have this one, was 10 years old and was in my pack opening "prime" in Michigan where we had these strange "minis":
I was 9 years old and also in Michigan, lucky for us and having the minis.
