Comrade the new threads are threatening to pour over the walls! There are too many of them. All hope maybe be lost. MJ
Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Holy crap, multiple ebay listing for $700+ on single sets, no statement of sealed or not. Really wish both of my orders for 2 would have gone through. Not a flipper but damn these prices are making me think that a possible $1500+ for a sealed box of 2 might be too good to pass up. Just got my weapons permit renewed and a free gun or 2...... hmmm.
Well, in my opinion the only way to win the Mint's "Special New Issue Game" is to buy it direct.
Since I've probably been aced-out, these no longer exist for me and I won't be participating in the aftermarket. The 2010 Pucks are only the most recent example, and we've seen this movie many other times before. Sour grapes? You betcha!
In this case, I do expect the 25th Anniversary ASE Set to have some very nice gains and it will *probably* hold onto most of its premium. I wish I could've got my 5 sets, and congrats to those who did, but I'll be movin' on to the next speculation that looks good to me.
In my opinion, you can buy most any gold, silver or platinum in gradual accumulations over the next few years and do very well anyhow. That hasn't changed, and it won't change unless something new and different occurs in our weasly Congress. In fact, in this environment there may well be some advantages in buying generic bullion vs. special Mint offerings. Numismatic premiums on Modern Bullion issues are still shrinking as the metals continue upwards. Carry on.
Q: Are You Printing Money? Bernanke: Not Literally
i still think the mods should have had pinned a FAQ post in the US Coin forum, but there still would'a been some esoteric questions asked and the nuubie ones and the mods be able to add to the FAQ. this would be a pinned post w/o capability to respond.
i do know a different type of search function capapbility would help, but then there'd be the "do a search you blnkey-blank" responses...without a link. some are kind enough to link but it's a minority.
btw DrBuster. i'd probably be one who would trade for Au. there will be a flood of these sealed on eBay once they are delivered. the graded 70's will sell for dynamic prices and those mght be the only items that will gain momentum after the initial flood unlike the sealed 2006 sets that just went up and up for abot 5 months. it will be interesting to see what happens to the prices. there will be a lot of BIN's and a few auctions. the auctions will sell for below the BIN's and the prices will continue to go down. (IMHO)
ALSO i think (haven't a clue, but from my own experience) that PSGS spent a lot of $$$ with reviews and refunds with spotting especially on the proofs so 70's may be ultra rare on the bullion and proof coins.
in a way all the coins will be FS eligible when shipped (assuming all get shipped w/i the window as they most like will, unlike the 2006 sets. i think the FS labels are too $$$ anyway.
okay i could have started 5 posts but instead stuck it here with my PM buddies also sorry for mispellings on IE instead of firefox...lol

I'm in no need to liquidate at all, and I REALLY was trying to get another order for 1 to keep and open but couldn't, but I have to say I'm a flipper at 900 or a 1/2 oz Au per set. If we hit that, and I think we will and more actually, I'm throwing up a bst.

Actually part of this is true I sold one a few weeks ago got payment and buyer has not backed out of deal and ebay has said nothing. Sold some more a few days ago Ebay cancelled it and I had to refund the money so...... lol not sure what their doing.
Seriously? Next there will be 5 threads about tracking numbers. Then there will be 'The FedEx truck is out front' thread. 'They left my coins on my porch' thread. The 'I told my cousin not to open the box' thread. Soon to be followed by the 'ebay flipping' threads.

LMAO! Oh yeh, there'll be a lot of 'em! Tell ya what, lets check back 10 years from now on these forums as I bet we won't even be able to count numero uno post about 'em! 10 years from now there will be 100 of them on flee bay with little or no interest. So the cycle returns with every Mint hyped product. Don't get me wrong, I like ASE's, but only the cheaper ones that reside in a US Mint green capsule. --aap

my wife did open something oh i think it was the UHR, so no big deal. but i did give her a gentle reminder about boxes (they all aren't pumps from Milan).
I'm tempted to start a thread over at USCF called...."My sets were delivered but my wife wasn't home to sign for them even after I warned her of the delivery time."
