My late mom always said "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything". She also taught me that "honesty is the best policy".
My late dad on the other hand said "two wrongs don't make it right", and " it ain't no skin off my nose".
With that said, I really like the reverse side of your coin although I'm not really a "toner" type collector, I can appreciate natural processes.
