Just returned nine out of nine of the $50 AGE W uncircs., dings on obverse and/or reverse of all. I believe mint is down to re-issuing returns from earlier sales on these.

You would be surprised. I have quite a few well heeled customers who give gold coins to their children/nieces/nephews/spouses for Christmas.

Last sales update was 29,651 with maximum of 30,000. The Mint must have sold the full allotment.

There were all sales of 11,765 in the 4 coin sets out of maximum of 40,000.

So the only way to get the 1oz Proof AGE is through the set.

Guess I'll be buying MS69's from MCM or wherever I can find them.

I sent my 2011 W AGE One Ounce MS back too. Poor quality. If they are sending returns maybe they won't mint anymore of these.
