For my entry, I offer this 1841-D half eagle, the "Tall D" mint mark variety (instead of the more available "Small D"). This piece is graded XF40 by PCGS and is from the Alex Shuford Collection (auctioned by Abe Kosoff in May 1968). It was purchased by Harry Bass at the Shuford sale. PCGS has only certified 14 examples of the Tall D variety in all grades.

The name is LEE!
I just love that coin. Razor Sharp overdate!

Right no question about that overdate
A rather rare variety, estimated 1800 struck.
the missing letters in LIBERTY and the long die scratch on the bust are hallmarks of this issue
There are less than 20 known for the Denver Coin.(Estimates for the Philly coin are around 100 coins)
This coin is Die#8 Wexler Discovery Coin and so far the only know Die#8 coin.
Much much more difficult to find than the other RPM of this date, the FS-1502 S/Horizontal S
For reference, here are the total populations of each variety in all grades certified by PCGS to date:
1909-S/S FS-1501
BN: 15
RB: 6
RD: 2
1909-S/Horizontal S FS-1502
BN: 301
RB: 166
RD: 405

This one is not only a clear overdate 1795/1795, but is is also the only 1795 half dollar showing the 3 leaf variety, and a heck of a nice die crack too.
Ditto that. Wow, awesome example.
Here is a real eye opener. This is best described as the 1824 over various.
They say this because no one can really be sure how many wrong punches there are on this variety.
It has also been called the 1824/2/0, but there looks to be more than just a 4 over a 2 over a 0.
Sorry about the old scratched plastic.

And it’s all mine!
The estimated population for this variety is between 40 and 50 pieces.
Here is an 1803 Small Date half dime. This one is rarer at 20 to 25 pieces known. The listing in the Red Book would lead you to believe that it's no great shakes, and that you can find one of these coins with an limited amount of effort. NOT TRUE!!! This is rarer than the famout 1802 half dime although it's not nearly as expensive. And, of course, the 1802 half dime is a stand alone date, which makes a difference.
Here is another 1806/5 variety, this one the half dollar O-104a R5-30-80 known examples
Impressive.
Here is my favorite Lincoln in my collection and one that sure fits this Popular Variety thread.
The king of the Lincoln series IMO
