Just sent one (I hope it CAMs!!) to PCGS, let's see what you have!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

I hope you do the impossible and get a cameo designation (both sides of the street are difficult). That would be awesome.........MJ
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
1936 - ZERO
1937 - ZERO
1938 - 2 CAM
1939 - 2 CAM
1940 - ZERO
1941 - ZERO
1942 - 3 CAM
Good luck Marty, surely you know how tough of an order that submission is; but if I'd trust anyone's eye, it'd be yours.

That nice frosty sun is what gets the cameo. If the sun looks dark like the fields, then no cameo. That's my understanding, and that's why there are so few.
The name is LEE!

Good question Lee, I'd guess displacing one of those ZERO's would be a pretty hefty feat.
That is one of the most beautiful coins there is. Thanks for posting a pic.
Just think if there was one in DCAM stuck somewhere long forgot about in a sock drawer. And what if that person was my grandmother would wants to give all of her coins to her grandson? Hey, I can dream can't I?
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
If only they'd made more of them that way...
I would love to own a cameo. MJ

I have seen some 1942 proof Walkers with a cameo look. I have one of these coins. The obverse of the coin has forsted devices [not the sun] but the frost is moderate at best. The reverse has frosted devices and the frost is much thicker than the obverse, so thick that I think the reverse should warrant a Cameo designation.
As for Skyman's 1938 Cameo half, it is a beast. The pictures of it that have been posted on the forums over the years are great, but the pictures pale in comparison to holding it in your hand. He has brought it to the Santa Clara show a number times for show and tell. I have been lucky to be able to see his half dollar in person.

Got a 42 with a lot of black and white contrast but the sun will keep it out of a CAM slab. The reverse is possibly a DCAM though and I love the look of this reverse.
Sorry for the 100 year old pics, got to get it out of the box and re-image someday.
The new Stella must be keeping him busy!
