eBay Bucks time

Ok, so I have $500 in eBay bucks sitting in my account and I had planned on buying bullion with it. But, as you all know, eBay stopped awarding eBay bucks on "bullion" and with the high prices sellers are asking for bullion on eBay, that 2% really helped cushion the blow. ASEs and rolls of 90% are so over prices, it is ridicules (even in the sections outside bullion - roll of circulated quarters = BIN $250 = Approx. 34.50 oz when they s/b going for 80 to 90% under spot).
I could I may try to snipe a few auctions or maybe see if I can find some deals on gold though I really don't want plastic yet I really hate to buy raw gold on eBay.
So, anyone got any ideas?

<< <i>Well, it looks like I could do a spouse gold coin and still earn the Bucks. Can get one for around $500. I guess that would be ok for a 1/2 oz of gold and earn some Bucks back. >>
You must dreaming if you think you can get a 1/2 oz spouse gold coin for $500....

That's after apply the $500 eBay bucks. Actually, with the 7% new bucks rebate, it is around $400.

I guess it isn't worded very well but the spouse coins are not bullion, for you can earn eBay bucks on them. As for the 7%, it is the 2% regular bucks plus 5% earned using Bill Me Later. It is suppose to be a special offer through 10/31/2011 for some, so eBay says (if you can believe that!).
Edited to clarify: you can spend as many of your available ebay bucks as you wish at one time, but you can only earn up to the $100 max per auction.
<< <i>I believe the ebay bucks / bill me later bonus is capped at $100 per transaction, regardless of the selling price. >>
You are correct. I just picked up this quarter-eagle for $1447 and 7% would have netted me $101.29 in eBay Bucks. They gave me $100 but I'll take it.
