I don't think this thread will get much traffic now, since another has started. Bad timing, I guess.

I have had the unpleasant experience of 'attempting' to buy from morons.... I try to avoid it whenever moronic behavior surfaces. Cheers, RickO

Are you talking about the guys who show up to your house on a bike wearing a white shirt and name tag?

One year I scored a major victory when I won a raw MS 1953-S Franklin half dollar off of e-bay for $85 woo hoo! The listing header was wrong, the coin was right and I was the only bidder. (max bid entered $135)

At the same time, the seller also had another raw 53-S for sale, but it was in XF/AU condition and that went for about the same price of $85

The coin arrived and to my dismay, it was the XF example. I contacted the seller and he replied that he must have screwed up and would attempt to locate the other coin. The other buyer I assume never contacted him (they new they scored) so he offered me a refund if I shipped the coin back to him. I opted to keep it and stuck it in a Dansco, it was a fair price for a fair coin, but my dreams of perhaps getting a FBL for this year went right down the tubes.

You should check out some of the discussions on the Coin Collecting group in Linked In. I just stay there to be entertained.
