San Antonio gun show update

I arrived at 1 pm and walked the floor 3 times, there were 4 coin dealers there all selling ASE's and Maple leafs, they must have had an agreement because all were $38 and generic $34. All face was 23x and Morgans were 29x for cull-AG. Picked up a large 1902 PB national bank of San Antonio for $50, nice little score, but there were no shortage of guns being traded for silver and silver and gold being bought and sold. Lots of presidential talk at all tables.

The best part of gun shows is the bumper sticker gallery in the parking lot. They make coin show people look normal.

Gun shows are always more lively than coin shows.... and there are usually several coin tables - and bullion tables - at big gun shows. Cheers, RickO

I have toyed with the idea of building up some inventory and setting up at the local gun show. It's like $40 a table. I would think if I kept it simple: bullion and 90%, some buffalo nick and wheat and Indian cents.

    Any thoughts?

Go for it but would need lots of bullion coins and bars or at least I think so. Can't beat the table
prices and the chance to trade for some great guns. I use to have and FFL back in the 80s
and did great selling and trading for guns and all kinds of stuff. Almost had a guy's wife in trade
but then he changed his mind. LOL

Good point derryb... I cannot recall reading about a robbery of a gun show dealer.... image. There was an attempted robbery of a gun shop while I lived in Renton, WA, ... the perp was shot by the proprietor and the cop that was in the store at the time....Lesson learned the hard way. Cheers, RickO
