    The photo shows nice color and good detail. I am seeing perfect crisp clarity on the right hand side. I am not seeing the crispness on the left side. Looks like the lens and the coin were not perfectly parallel. Maybe leveling the camera or shimming the side of the holder might help.

    Bottom right is in better focus than top left. I shim the coin with spare change under the slab.

    I wish I could nail the color on toned coins like that consistently. The only thing that seems impossible is the catch the luster except at an angle.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
