I have had 5 1 oz Englehard Prospector Rounds sitting in the shop for 2 weeks priced at spot plus 50c, and not a single buyer in 2 weeks.

Silver Eagles priced at spot plus 1.00, and only sold about 7-8 coins in over a week,

yet have bought in excess of 10-15k per day with some days exceeding 20k in gold , silver

    Sounds like my local shop.

At our coin club auction last week no gold sold and 90% sold for 10% back and 999 at spot or less. Granted a coin club is a very small sample, but.....

the best cure for high prices is high prices.

10 years ago an ounce of silver could be had for 15 minutes of J6P time. Now it's 2 hours.

You need to open an eBay store...Not the most popular round, nevertheless, it's averaging around $45 under straight auction format

Buyers may not be feeling the urge to purchase because prices are a little stagnant, or they fluctuate but return to previous levels, so there is no sense of urgency to buy or miss the boat and be left behind-------------BigE

There is definitely a buyers strike going on...do I buy or do I sell is being asked alot within the circles I run around.

And with the blood in the streets that appears is going to happen today (Silver ALREADY - 4+% at the time I post this), the answers to the buy or sell or hold questions become that much more murky.

4% is a speed bump for stackers.

    So is 14%.

I am seeing no buyers strike for reasonably priced merchandise.

I plan on hitting a few B&Ms later today.

I was looking at Onzas and a couple of Britannias at spot as well as 90% halfs yesterday at a shop.

    Glad I waited. image
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.
