Silver Refinery Hallmark Help

I've had this 10 oz silver bar kicking around the house for almost 30 years. Can anyone identify the stamp?

    Not sure on that one.

It looks like there is some wording on the plastic, does that help you at all?

The London Good Delivery Silver List (here) identifies the OJSC Kolyma Refinery in Russia as having a current mark of "Company logo (triangle shape with u shape image in centre) and (‘Russia’ in Cyrillic script) in oval".

I wonder if your bar is Russian?

This dealer pictures a 10 oz. bar with a similar (but larger) mark on their site. They don't identify it though. You might want to contact them and ask if they know the refiner.

  • There seems to be lettering embossed on the plastic seal at the top and bottom right in the photo. Is that an illusion? If not what does that say? Looks like 'Monar' maybe.
Many, many perfect transactions with other members. Ask please.

"Bongo drive 1984 Lincoln that looks like old coin dug from ground."
  • Thanks for the help. I haven't looked at in in years and never noticed the lettering on the bag "Monarch International" I'll follow up on that.
