The Dark side....

Just been going through some packs I opened in the last 2 weeeks now that I know a little bit better what I should be looking for. And I nevre noticed this the first time I opened this pack only now once going through it again, Im not sure what you guys think but personally getting doubles in a pack must be rare, let alone 5 sets of doubles and a triple!! Just disgusting that someone would even sell a pack like this, and I cant believe I didnt notice first time I opened the pack? Clear case of resealing?

That is very common with 1981 Donruss.

Yastrzemski, Eckersley, Carter and Ainge were good pulls - 3 Hall Of Famers and an NBA star

  • Thanks for that info!!

I'll second what dmatc said, those 1981 Donruss often had doubles within the pack. Not bad if you got duplicate star players, but 3 Win Rimmerswaals...no good.

+1. I've had boxes that ran almost a "team" per pack. the teams that come to mind were the brewers and redsox.

    Thanks,

I remember getting boxes of all Twins and A's. I always hoped for full Dodger boxes, but alas, never! Ah, the good old days!
  • Speaking of "The Dark Side"...

Last friday I bought the new Star Wars Blu-Ray complete 9 disc box set. So far my kids and I have watched the first 3 discs. All I have to say is WOW!!!!
  • Ah, the good ol' 1981 Donruss packs of doom. I've had five Chris Chamblisses in a pack and five Yaz's in a pack. Enjoy the laughs.

Make sure the Gary Carter isn't a counterfeit, if it is you know the packs were re-sealed.

I busted a 1960 Leaf Baseball pack and it had (4) 1960 2 Hal Smiths bros in it. 4 of 5 cards the same.
  • happened to me as well with an '81 Fleer pack
