STOLEN EUREKA SPORTSTAMPS

I collect 1949 Eureka Sportstamps. I have a PSA graded set..

I also have an SGC graded set.. I recently made a submission to SGC but the box was rifled at the post office and I received an empty and resealed box. I am going through the insurance process with USPS at the moment.

I ask y'all to be on the look out for SGC graded Eurekas, mostly graded SGC 96. The list isn't important as I own and have submitted most of the SGC graded examples. Eighteen graded stamps were stolen.

These stamps are not necesarily rare, but are tough in high grade. These stamps are not necesarily expensive, except for a few HOFer, mostly because few people collect them.

Thank you for keeping your eyes out.

Here are a few examples, (but not the ones missing) image

Ebay.......Contacted seller and explained they were stolen and he sold them to me cheap. After 6 years he wasn't the person who stole them from the post office.

So did the eBay seller tell you how he came into them or did he not want to give over that info?

Indeed the post office made good on the insurance claim back in 2011.

The ebay seller said he bought them in a larger sportscard memorabilia lot at a flea market.
