This is why BGS/BCCG suks! Gretzky counterfeit slabbed

I hope the Beckett building burns down.....during closing hours of course.

79 OPC Gretzky counterfeit slabbed

Unless this is a tampered slab and the old switcheroo took place with a counterfeit; otherwise these guys are just plain stupid.
Secondly if one had a mint OPC, why send it to BCCG and leave all the money on the table?

Might not be a legit slab, they don't slab that card anymore. I think they cut it off at $350 book value for BCCG cards. I sent in 3 Topps Gretzky rookies and they wouldn't slab them for that reason. Also, that's not what the inside of the slabs look like. Might be an older slab but I'm guessing it's fake.
  • Yea, was editing before your post.
    Is the flip real?

Can't tell, but any decent graphic designer could replicate a BCCG flip almost exactly in less than an hour. The recess on the inside of the slab definitely looks off.

I think somebody's cranking out a lot of these.

Here's another one with the same cert number (obviously a different card).

Neither slab looks genuine to me.

he's selling a pricey fake Nolan Ryan RC too, no? also has the same BCCG case which i have also never seen before. ...the serial numbers match but I'm doubting these are good.

    adit for spalling

It really doesn't matter how tamperproof your cases are if people just fake the case too.

Wow, what's he going to say? I bought a collection of BCCG graded cards that happens to contain the easiest to obtain countefeits but I thought they were all real? All he needs is to list the Bobby Orr and he'll have the top 4.

let me guess... "I had no idea they were fakes" or "I never thought to ask if they were fakes or not before I purchased them for resale" or " "I got these cheap off CL"
