There's better technical info on this forum than GB can offer. In fact, there's a very good thread that discusses the technicals every single day. If roadrunner says that the chart is backfilling some gaps, it's worth paying some attention.

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a purchase, but I don't see the opportunity presenting itself yet. I plan to let the money keep accumulating until a no brainer situation steps into the limelight. If the opportunity never comes, then that's ok too.

  • Disclaimer, GB is not a Technical analyst or Gold Fundamentalist that I'm aware of, He is an advertiser for GoldLine

and a Proponent of Gold and Silver, but it does appear that he believes in his product.

RoadRunner is and has offerd very good trading commentary and insight both on the technical and fundamentals of Gold and Silver.

I'm very much enjoy his posts.

    BUY BUY BUY !!!

The buy on gold at $1790 this morning was probably a good deal. But I think from this $1800 level we see a bounce to try and fill some of those morning
gaps and still at least another zig downward as soon as today or later this week. In using GDXJ as a marker with an open gap at around 36.1, that would
mean a 4% fall from here. Gold should fall a proportional or larger amount. Gold volume has been dropping off quickly as it bounced up to $1815. It would
appear fewer investors are heeding GB's advice. When gold needs to be "hit," Wed and Thursday seem to be prime time days for it. Resistance band right above
at $1812-$1830 that could be tough to go back through. Today's down day volume is probably going to end up stronger than yesterday's. Not short term bullish.
But the 20 day moving average ($1812) is holding as it has basically done on this run since 1 July. If it continues to hold and close above it that would be a strong
positive. Gold briefly dipped well below the 20 dma on 25 August but closed above it. That's the only time in 2 months before today that it dipped that low. Another
positive point is that gold dropped just low enough today to touch it's 2 month uptrend line.

  • The No Brainer was $250.00 when Great Britain dumped half its Gold reserves and the world basicly

said Gold is dead and has no place in our new era of financial ingenuity and creativity.

What is seriously out of favor now and is getting kicked down the street as useless?

Realestate seems to be getting close in terms of price declines but the low basing may take years to develop, but when

we see a similar situation as Great Britain with Gold in regards to realestate then we are most likely there.

Are there any other Down and Out investment vehicles that come to mind ?

Yes, un-American. You made me feel guilty, Comrade - so I re-distributed some of my fiat savings, just within this past hour! The flesh is weak!image

I predict your no-brainer is a month or so away.

Which one? There will be the SAE Anniversary Set no brainer, and the universal socialist economic reform no-brainer - but which no brainer is it of which you speak?

The 1 ozer. "W" AGE increased by $100!!! And now gold has fallen more than $50 already!!! Interesting times, indeed.

curly, how do you even recognize a dip these days? It goes up & down faster than I can keep up!

I guess it don't matter, so long as you recognize Mrs. curly, and as long as Mrs. curly thinks they're purty.image
