Well, I pulled the trigger

and got an Ace 350 & coil cover.
Should be here next week.

1st MD and looking forward to the hunt.

  • Congrats. Is it coming from Amazon, by chance? I just got one through Amazon from PTOMart/Saucier Ent. that I had to return. It looked new but the coil was used - was all scratched up and had gouges on the bottom. I ended up getting one locally for the same price. I've gone out 4x & it works pretty well. If you turn the sensitivity all the way up it will go really deep. I found a piece of iron over 15" deep!

Good luck. Next time don't waste money on a coil cover. Get that RhinoKote they use for truck beds and coat the bottom of the coil. Wears like iron, can be touched up if it ever does wear, does not need to be cleaned and has no effect on the machine performance. Much better than coil covers. Cheers, RickO

I've had one for about 6 months now and I love it! It breaks down well for travel, too. The only thing I would recommend it getting upgraded earphones. (They have to cut costs somewhere, I'm glad it's on a replaceable part)

  • Nice pickup. Ace detectors are top notch and we've been using them for years.
