I had a chance to buy 5 of these proof Franklins some years ago.
I wish I would have kept them all, but this is the only one I have left. It's interesting to me that it's labeled Mint State 65
instead of Proof.

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.
The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!

<< <i>Never heard of the NIG grading service either? >>
It was David Hall & company's first attempts at a grading service... before PCGS had begun.

I would like a couple rolls of common date 65's that looked like this!
<< <i>looks like the coin is inside a plastic case inside the flip >>
I hope that plastic case is air-tight since PVC gives off HCl fumes.

<< <i>I picked up a couple of these early David Hall graded coins last year at a small mall coin store. The coins are in a cointain then sealed inside a soft PVC flip and none of them seemed worse for the wear? The coins all seemed to be grossly undergraded by todays standards?

So what is the grade?
