APMEX is buying 1 oz gold bars above spot

I just checked their site Monday night at 7:30 PM Eastern.

Their chart showed GOLD at 1913.00

Their sell price on 1 oz Perth Mint GOLD bars was 1999.00
Their buy price was 1920.00

I don't believe I've ever seen that before.
I don't think GOLD hit above 1920/oz as of Monday evening.

gold futures on the globex electronic exchange show a high of 1917.20 right now.

Just don't forget, their posted buy prices are for $10k lots or more. Anything less, you'll need to call to get a buy price.

Not unreasonable as long as they can sell it for a profit - e.g. buy at spot +.37%, sell at spot +4.5% (nothing wrong w/4.13% profit).

Well DANG six months or so ago apmex offered credit suisse bar ounces at $1400.00.My wife said NO MORE GOLD.GRRRR
