    The apocalypse, huh?

Last I heard tell, even during the 1930's and 1940's, the decades of the Great Depression and WWII, that the vast majority of people lived and many people prospered.

There is always a chicken little out there.

I would have thought that for you the apocalypse would have been when you had to sell most of your Franklins.

Buy Gold U.S. Coins NOW !

The world economy hangs by a thread.

Scare tactics to increase sales of gold coins? It's hard for me to be scared when I get a message from somebody named "Groiny".

It's all hopeless anyway. Do you brothers know that in a few billion years the sun will expand to engulf the earth? So what the hell, let's get the party started a little early.

Yep it gained 25% since July and now down a little over 10%. Boy sell, sell, sell. Like this hasn't played out every year for the last decade. Nothing really changed except this year in the sell Summer season PM's are up and the buying season starts next month. If my $19 stock went down to $17 and change I wouldn't panic on a good stock that has shown it's ability to overcome some paper traders. We'll see, as always the sky is falling on the downswing and not a pep on it's way up from the fiat is to big to fail crown. Glad I've always made my own decisions while the world seems to still think they have to be in the "In Crowd" at all cost just like high school. We'll see very soon won't we 2 grand by the end of the year or even $2500 wouldn't surprise me at all. Paper PM margin hikes always bring PM's down for a week or so, nothing new here is there?

Warning sign or tin foil? PM's don't go up they just maintain purchasing power. The fiat bubble will end badly if a solution isn't found shortly and even PM's won't make you rich just live a little better. Let hope the world governments and the US can get their stuff together. You can only print trillion of dollars for so long to prop the system up before all of a sudden you can't make interest payment on your loans and counties want collateral instead of fiat dollars IMO.

what else has changed though? is unemployment getting better? is the debt reduced? is the housing market improving? are stocks recovered? is the global economy improving?

    hmmm...

what happens when chavez finally gets all his physical gold back...or will he? either way, this will be interesting to see what happens and how it reflects the gold spot.

as long as things are bad, gold will remain high. sure, it will fluctuate. but don't count on the price getting seriously low until we overcome this horrible economy.

if you can afford it, buy some. gold is money.
