Unfortunately...he is incorrigible. This country made a huge mistake, and unfortunately like many huge mistakes, sometimes you keep paying for the mistake for a long time...and we can't even begin correcting this mistake until November 2012...it's gonna seem like a long wait.

Agree. Ben Bernanke and the Federal Reserve helped create this economic mess.

Charisma and BS only go so far when you're driving the largest boat in the world, you have to actually know how to drive a boat or what some call the Ship of State. Last year we were all talking about $2000 gold and the abysmal situation that would take it there...just $200 and change and we're there campers.

A country with peaceful neighbors that spends more on defense than the rest of the world combined might have had something to do with it as well. In that sense we could have taken a cue from the Roman empire. As what Pericles said 2,400 years ago on the eve of the Peloponesian War is still true today. It doesn't matter how big your army is or how well it is equipped. If you don't have money, you can't keep it in the field.

S&P fell well below the projected target for the multi-month head and shoulders. And the uptrend line from the last 3 summer highs was sharply broken.
Momentum seems pointed straight down and increasing. Now what???

flip a coin, and perhaps you are right...but to me it's looking more like a recession and a bear market...and I can flip a coin with my prediction as well. LOL

What worries me now is oil going up today, along with gold...this could get real bad before November 2012...real bad I'm sorry to say, and I hope to yell I'm wrong.

The Republican debate on Thursday night could firm things up a bit if people like the way some of the top candidates perform...and the public can gain confidence that in the long run things would be okay.

Yup. Just like yesterdays 300pt rally in the final 30 min.

Market down for justified reasons today. If the USA is to be considered AA+, then why is France still AAA?

I've mentioned that the Swiss banks (CS, UBS) have balance sheets bigger than the SNB--Swiss National Bank, but should also remind that Deutsch Bank is 50% the GDP of Germany. The USA was able to bail out its banks, the Europeans dont have a chance in hades.
