to the members who have over the years educated me on PMs and the wide range of investment opportunities available. I feel that I have learned enough to make wise investment decisions and at times try to return the favor by sharing my learned knowledge with others here. My apologies if my method of presentation has offended others, completely unintentional. Thanks guys, I'm much better off financially thanks to those that educated me and to those that made me take a second look at my opinions (which happens quite often). The most important thing I have learned here is to gather information from many sources and form my own sometimes misguided opinions. The debates that transpire here are most educational and I never view them as a winner or loser, only who i think is right and who i think is wrong based on my limited knowledge and research (and belief) concerning the topic.

You're completely welcome, sir! image And you have done a phenomenal job in educating others, including me. I've learned a ton on these forums over the past decade. And I still vividly recall how others were ridiculing me and others for calling for gold way above $1000, etc, and $100 silver (though that hasn't happened yet).

I second that! This place is awesome. May the cooler heads prevail. This forum always helps me weigh the options more carefully, and that's a very good thing. I thank you all as well.image

I'd like to echo Derry's post. I have learned a great deal here, as well as having an outlet to interact with fellow metalbugs. The CU PM forum is my single favorite place to visit on the web....hands down.

I concur. One of the reasons I joined this forum is because the people here seem very level headed. They do not applaud the demise of the US economy, rather they hope policies are formed to support and grow it. However, at the same time, they are vigilant in their convictions that PM's are the best investment for the situation we've been dealt. Everyone here is top notch, and it's a pleasure
    to visit this forum.

Beautifully put derryb! You are a big part of my PM education along with the other posters to your thread.

Fitting that you post at this time as we approach a huge paradigm shift in mine and your world!

Will not be the least surprised to one day see a CU PM thread linked on one of the popular sites such as safehaven.com or financialsense.com.

  • I was a lurker for two years prior to joining CU. Usually I just read and try to absorb the rest of yours knowledge. I appreciate the humor as well as all the debates. Everyone who has responded to this thread so far has been more correct than any of the finanacial talking heads on CNBC. I was tring to describe this forum to a friend, it's like a bunch of like minded people gathering imformation and bringing it back to the group. Overall I trust what i hear here more than anywhere else. I hope for the best. Jason

I'm mostly a lurker too, and have been since The Thread That Started it All. Just the occasional post, but I do read here and very much appreciate all the commentary. I have my inherent gold hoarding tendencies, and with the help of this (now) forum I have gently nurtured that over the last few years--much to the happiness of my current, more balanced, financial situation. Thank you all who don't lurk!

BTW, one advantage of living in Asia...it's noonish, gold is up about $30 to $1694, silver is up over $40, platinum is flat (was in the red earlier this morning) and palladium is down.

I don't contribute much to the PM forum because my knowledge on financial systems, etc are lacking. However, I do enjoy reading the posts. Some great banter here. I've learned some and its inspired me to learn more elsewhere. Thanks for the great posts, folks.
