My oncologist's report today was that my Chemo drug, Alimta has not been very effective. Tomorrow I start two new Chemo drugs that supposedly produce first day flu like symptoms (Carbo Platinum and another whose name escapes me). Post something to put a smile on my face, please!

Gotta love them big silvers. Not exactly in "my" area, but it's fun to handle and always makes me smile when I see it. Hope it does the same for you!

As your doc probably told you , chemo treatments can have different results with different people. Here's hoping that the next drugs are just what you need. Cheers and best of luck!

Gary-good luck with your new chemo. There are many many new clinical trials being developed each day. If this one doesn't work, then try another. Don't give up-keep the faith.

Roman, the piece is struck on a thin sliver of silver and the incuse design is visible on the reverse. It is a cliche, but it also could be a trial strike of an unadopted design.

I was just trying to clarify the term cliche, since I've always thought it only applied to pieces created by pressing a die in various stages of completion into a small puddle of molten tin or lead to check the positive image.

It's a pretty awesome piece of numismatic history any way you call it

Great coins, everyone and thanks for the prayers and wishes. Just woke up to no nausea or possible flu like symptoms. I guess that doubling up on my oxycode didn't hurt either! Hear's to the new types of Chemo doing the job and that there are NO side effects!
