Which '57 Mays do you like better?

Tough choice, isn't it? The scan is a little faded, the brightness on both is spectacular. The mark to the right of Willie on the PSA 8 is on the scanner, not the card.

The 8.5 seems to have better color but the 8 is centered better. Toss up.

I'm not a fan of either half grades or Willie Mays. However, if I had to choose, I like the centering on the 8 better.

The 8.5

The 8 looks to be a little rough cut on the top left.

I was going to say the one on the right, but then I noticed the scratch/mark/whatever it is right behind Willie's neck. If that mark is on the card, I'd choose the one on the left. If it's one the case, I'd go with the one on the right. YMMV

I like the 8.5 better. The top left edge of the 8 seems to have some fraying. That caught my attention.

Left for sure. The color difference completely outweighs the VERY minor centering difference.

I consider these cards to be virtually even. The 8.5 has better color and snow white borders. The 8 has better centering and a top rough cut which I love. Corners are even. I lean towards bosox's opinion based on exactly what he said.

The better holder is on the left. The nicer card is on the right....until Jeffs photoshopping. There it's the 8.5 by a mile.

I should also have noted exactly what I did.

1. Remove mark
2. Used Auto Contrast

That's the only thing done to the pic.
