    Buying history

The guy even bought a lot of 50 screw down holders. Plus he has a history of selling reprints. I would look over this lot closely.

    Now that is funny.

This is going to an expensive lesson.

After those four National League games, Gorman Thomas was never the same, and neither were the Brewers, and come to think of it neither was I.

    Note to self.....
#1) Sell nice looking mid-grade cards raw
#2) Buy a bunch of cheap low grade stars, tout them as high grade, and sell the whole lot as an estate/attic find.

I love this board!!!! So many great ideas!!!

Even honest lots can make you money, though it might not be enough to justify the time spent putting them together.

Didn't the OP laugh about "karma?"

    "Instant Karma's gonna get you
Gonna look you right in the face
    Better get yourself together
    Join the human race
How in the world you gonna see
    Laughing at fools like me
Who on earth do you think you are
A super star . . . well, right you are

    Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
    Well we all shine on
    Everyone come on

    Instant Karma's gonna get you
Gonna knock you off your feet
    Better recognize your brothers
    Everyone you meet
Why in the world are we here
Surely not to live in pain and fear
Why on earth are you there
    When you're everywhere
    Come and get your share

    Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
    Yeah we all shine on"

The internet forces people to be honest. You out and out lie on here and you will get caught. Plain and simple.

I have no clue what this guy is really up to but if he thought he would pull a fast one on the CU cops good luck.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,601 ✭✭✭✭✭
yea, the seller lists all those 99 cent cards individually...but lists a 5K card in a lot. LOL

    ...and even funnier still...it worked.
  • I believe the first one listed is a 1955 Topps All American Jim Thorpe card. It has a book value of $400.

    Cool thread
  • who in their right mind would drop $5K on this lot full of crappy looking, dog eared cards....oh wait.

  • This guy is a real screwball. He should be banned for just being ignorant beyond the norm. Now the package came and nothing was in it???

Who cares, this guy doesn't even deserve the attention.

I filed it at 2 Am when I got home from work, and it was decided in his favor less than 6 hours after it was filed, I've been trying to get to upper management to get it resolved.

so when you (plural) brought the meeting to order, was it a unanimous vote to be a douche and post a private message that the OP specifically asked you (plural) not to, or was there a dissenting opinion? Which one of you (plural) chaired the meeting?

If you read the following posts, would you believe he had the cards in hand?

"I'm sure you can infer I'm not going to POST the scans, I'm happy to provide scans to anyone who actually wanted something."

"Mullins is right, that is the lot I bought, some of you seem to have issues with it... These are???

What is the problem with getting a good deal on lower grade cards... Some of you seem to make it out as a crime."

Because it is hard to determine I'm not posting scans because I have nothing in hand? Put 2 and 2 together my goodness.
