Need ebay advice

I'm a newbe posting here and a newbe seller on ebay. I have a buyer on ebay that says she can't pay the $62 for a card she won at auction from me.
I've given her a month to pay and now she wants me to cancel the transaction. Is there any negative hits against me as the seller for canceling a transaction? So far I haven't been charged any fees so it looks like if I cancel now I wont get charged fees. Right? I'm a sucker for a good female sob story so if I can get out of this without having to open a case against her it would suit me just fine.
Thanks

no, you can mutually cancel an auction with no strikes to either of you

The fact that you havent yet been charged any fees makes zero sense. The fees hit my seller's account the very second after one of my items sells. You better double check that. If the fees have been charged (which im 99.9% sure they were), you can file for a refund if the sale is mutually cancelled.

No reason at all not to open a case for buyer having not paid for the item. F that SOB story BS. If you don't open a case claiming you never were paid you will be paying the fees for the transaction.

Everyone has their own style or thought process towards EBAY. When I sell an item if you won't return emails or respond to an invoice I am opening a case after 5 days.

Somehow you get paid right away and when you deliver a quality product the buyer will leave positive feedback or no feedback. I am not waiting a month under any circumstances.

Once an item closes the fees acrue imediately and only get refunded once a case has been closed. Good luck with the fees and moving the item again for $62 or higher.

You are absolutely correct. Fees have been charged I just never noticed until I read your reply. Thanks.
