In a recent email from Don, he notes there has been demand for it.

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

Collectors willing to pay extra for getting their issue coins sniffed
as mentioned, the sniffer would be a big help here.
<< <i>Early Copper I would presume.

Especially now that you're making them in your wood shop!
<< <i>I have a rare gold coin in a genuine holder - what would I gain by spending $$ for Secure Plus? >>
A holder without scratches, a coin that has been sniffed and a pretty label.

Hmmmmmm....
No seriously - why would I spend $600 for the sniffer plus shipping (plus the risk of loss)?
What do I gain in value by doing so?

I don't see a reason at this point, unless you think there's putty on the coin.

You may not gain anything, but buyers down the road will. It could prevent crack- outs getting regraded into "real" holders. ? Or, it could help with stolen coins that are still high value even in "genuine" condition...lots of reasons...
<<If a PCGS Secure Plus-certified coin is ever lost or stolen and subsequently resubmitted to PCGS, it can be identified and the recovery process will begin for the rightful owner. And the special Secure Plus holder label has been engineered to fight counterfeiting.>>

Time is the great equalizer when it comes to "technology". Ultimately, all information is free. It may take decades, but the premiums you pay today will be the standard and not options of tomorrow. Just sayin'!
Cheers!
