    $100 in unspecified gold and $100 in rubles. Also 1 x 45 automatic , 2 x boxes of ammo , 3 x lipsticks , viteman pills and tranquiliser pills ..umm..nylons , a russian bible and phrasebook.

On a note of interest the script originally was " a guy could have a pretty good time in dallas" but was changed due to events on 1963.

You still can if you don't spend the gold at the hotel. image

You made me go back and check - you forgot the prophylactic image

In the footage you can see him saying "Dallas" but they dubbed it over with Vegas.

Slim's line "Shoot, a fella could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff" was re-dubbed from his originally saying "Dallas." President Kennedy was assassinated shortly before the film was released and the line was changed to avoid offending audiences.

Another worthwhile footnote is Slim Pickins was not originally to be in the film , Peter Sellers who played 3 parts in the film was to also play the part of the bomber pilot but that changed when Sellers sprained an ankle.Notably Sliim Pickins was not given an entire script nor told it was a dark comedy in order that he could play the part straight faced.

Slim Pickins wasn't the first choice for the part after Sellers injury , the part was offered to John Wayne who turned it down and then offered to Big Hoss from Bonanza who also turned it down.
It's weird how chance played a big part in perfecting the movie.

"Annh... I am to understand the Russian ambassador is to admitted entrance to the war room?"

"That is correct, he is here on my orders."

"I...I...I don't exactly how to put this sir, are you aware of what a serious breach of security that would be!? I mean, he'll see everything! He'll see the big board!"

I kinda always liked the scene with Keenin Wynn where he has to
blast open the Coca cola machine to get change for the phone
booth for Peter Sellers RAF charicter, seriously mentioning that
he'll have to answer to the Coca Cola Company.

Oh and to the OPster, Thanx, That song "we'll meet again"
has been in my head all dayimage
