This is not my coin, but I am very surprised that this coin has lasted this long! Coins of this caliber dont usually last long on their site. Not the best photo I have seen Mike take which might be why this isnt scooped up yet????I have to say when it comes to Commems or WLH's nobody has a better selection than Dan and Kathleen image

    The coin has to have some eye-popping color and luster and surfaces to distinguish itself from a $ 1200 MS67 with the same look , so at over 5K maybe there is a thin market limited to those putting together a 144 piece registry set, a very small group of collectors indeed.

    The quality of a coin and look can be the most stunning ever- but the asking price has to first be justified by a buyer before he commits.

    Prices seem to be all over the map, ranging up to 17K on HA, depending on the color extent/intensity.

    A lot of Commems are misgraded in the high grades but that one I could see going 68.

    The coin does not call out to me. Otherwise, I would have been

    all over it. It appears to be just a bit above average, in luster and

    color. No big deal for the price. I have seen only a few Oregons that

    had the WOW FACTOR.

    I like it though. Not a screamer like so many of the Oregon commems.

    WOW! These guys are seriously out of control......... This is unheard of color for an Elgin!
