Not sure if the right thread, but eBay is mentioned here often and quite a few eBay sellers here...
eBay is not sure if they receive sufficient value for the money the pay to third party websites (Mr. Rebates, eBates, etc). eBay issued this statement: "After careful analysis and thorough internal debate, we decided that the only way to gain a definitive (quantified) understanding of the value of these partnerships is to conduct a "go dark" test."
Looks like this will last until October...
